Co-Founder

Dominique Ferraro

Hydrographic surveyor trained in ocean engineering and marine sciences, with more than twelve years at sea: five years as a staff surveyor, then senior freelance and consulting roles, before co-founding WGS Global in 2026.

For the last six years he has led survey teams as party chief and project surveyor, and represented clients on board, on offshore construction, cable, pipeline, offshore wind, harbour and dredging projects in Europe, West Africa and Asia.

He covers both sides of the work: mobilisation, calibration, acquisition and reporting on board, tendering, procedures and subcontractor management ashore, with GIS-led mission planning to keep line plans and forecasts realistic.

Hydrographic and oceanographic surveyor: offshore and nearshore construction, submarine cables, UXO surveys, ROV positioning and oceanographic instrumentation, including a season on a research icebreaker in the Canadian Arctic.
