Hydrographic &
Geospatial Intelligence

Measure water depths, coastal terrain and the land–water interface for ports, rivers and marine works. We bring the survey data into the project’s reference systems and agreed formats.

  • Bathymetry, topography & drone mapping
  • Navigation, access & line plans
  • GIS & spatial decision support

Two Ways to
Work With Us.

01

We run it

  • Bathymetric and coastal topographic surveys, with the vessel, sensors and team mobilised for your scope.
  • System setup and checks matched to the method: offsets, positioning, water levels, sound velocity and sonar calibration.
  • Line plans and coverage adapted to site access and survey objectives.
  • Charts, terrain models, profiles and agreed volumes in the project’s reference systems.

02

We check it for you

  • The contractor’s line plan, reference systems and water-level strategy reviewed before mobilisation.
  • Calibration records, sound velocity, positioning and coverage reviewed during the survey.
  • Volumes and charts reviewed against the agreed specification before technical acceptance.
  • Surface and underwater dronesUSV, ASV and AUV surveys: multibeam, as-laid and cable work.
  • Topographic support to constructionSetting out, levelling, roads and port works, quantities.
  • Dredging controlProgress, pre- and post-dredge surveys, volumes.
  • Rivers, lakes and estuariesIncluding river reconnaissance for mining and industrial logistics.
  • 3D scanning of sites & structures3D sonar and terrestrial laser scanning for georeferenced point clouds and models of sites and structures.

Measure the coast.
Track its change.

Along any coastline, repeated surveys document changes to the shoreline and the shallow seabed. They provide a common evidence base for monitoring, coastal studies and coastal planning.

1. Connect land and sea

Combine coastal topography and shallow-water bathymetry in a common reference. Survey the beach and nearshore profile beyond the waterline visible in a photograph.

2. Compare survey dates

Compare surfaces, profiles and the same shoreline indicator across two survey dates. Account for water levels and measurement uncertainty before interpreting retreat, advance or sediment-volume change.

3. Focus the next survey

Locate sectors with measured change and identify where further survey or analysis is needed. Dated maps and profiles help teams prioritise monitoring and provide data for coastal studies.

Educational scenes of a synthetic coast. Measured changes are interpreted with survey uncertainty and coastal context.

WATER DEPTH

MBES & SBES

Need depth and seabed shape? A multibeam system maps a dense swath of the seabed. A single-beam system records planned depth lines where that is the right fit.

Technical context

Examples within collective project experience include NORBIT iWBMS and Winghead, R2Sonic 2020/2024, Kongsberg EM2040, Teledyne RESON and Odom systems.

LAND & WATER INTERFACE

Topography, Drone
& 3D Scanning

Need to understand the shore and access interface? Spatial control, terrain data and imagery can be combined to support landfalls, shorelines, access routes and marine infrastructure planning.

Technical context

Survey control, drone photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanning sit alongside the hydrographic data when the project needs one coherent land-to-water picture. Airborne LiDAR comes from a specialist partner when the scope calls for it.

CALIBRATION & CHECKS

Mobilisation
& Calibration

How are the measurements checked? We measure sensor offsets, verify positioning and plan the checks needed for the survey system. These may include a multibeam patch test, single-beam bar check and dynamic draught checks, according to the selected method.

Technical context

The mobilisation report records reference systems, equipment configuration, calibration results and positioning checks. Receiver, corrections, site conditions and control observations are assessed against the required survey uncertainty, and sound velocity and water-level checks form part of the survey record.
